  1. Followed by another crash (the small plane in Philadelphia). Might be a good idea to avoid flying for a while.

    1. Small planes crash literally every day, every year. Several hundred every year is absolutely normal, unfortunately. A US Airline crash is highly unusual at this point. The cause will be found, lessons will be learned, changes will be impemented. It seems so extreme because it hasn't happened in so long, but 40 years ago an airline crash a month was not unusual. A LOT of aviation safety lessons have been learned, but sadly they are nearly always written in blood.

And while I hate Donald Trump with the blinding heat of a thousand suns, none of the bull he had pulled in his first week and a bit had anything to do with causing that crash. It could have happened JUST as easily three weeks ago under Biden's watch, or eight years ago under Obama, or 16 years ago under Bush. The head of the FAA is so far above the level of a tower controller it is unlikely they ever even met, and the acting head certainly has nothing what-so-ever to do with the tower staffing levels on any given night days after he is appointed. Nor is it likely that a bunch of controllers took Trump's buyout offer the very next day. They are smarter than that, given he has no way to fund it. ATC has been understaffed since Reagan fired all the PATCO controllers when I was a kid. Pilots have been managing to be in the wrong place at the wrong time since the dawn of aviation. The main lesson that will inevitably be learned is that VFR corridors for helicopters, even military ones, need to be a LOT farther away from the approach pattern of major airports.

Realistically, the safest time to fly in the US is right after a crash - everyone is REALLY on their toes. I am flying in and out of Reagan *four times* in in the next two weeks, all on CRJ-700s. I am not worried about it in the slightest. Just four more flights in the 3500 or so I have taken in my travelling career. Which has not been without incident, technically I have been in two incidents serious enough to warrant an FAA investigation in the past 30 years (both in the 90s - flying was a LOT riskier then). Still here.

  2. And the Philly crash was followed the next day by an incident in Chicago, that was followed the day after that by an incident in TX.
Is the U.S. Great again, yet????

  3. He is delusional and mentay sick as he is acting like in the Apprentice to say: "You're Fired." He never mind the effect of his decisions on any other lives...
From Canada, we are now facing his lashing on us with delusion over fantanyl and immigrants and this morning he put the US banks not able to be in Canada.
He is making up any reasons to stab his allies no matter what to please his ego and his MAGA base.
Yes, China and Russia are doing nothing and just sitting waiting for USA and allies to decline.

  4. Well remember everyone the Trump and his acolytes and magats are out to tear America down, and they get off on it !
So no surprise, they have already proven many times they don’t care if people have to die, even their own.

    1. The American memory is easily erased as they don't remember how bad Trump 45 did badly manage the incoming world pandemic on COVID and the result was hundred of thousands Americans died of it. His first denial of this plague and his bad management at first of the US response to this threat was to see so many dead.
Now 47 is acting like a «king» or «dictator» not bothered by the Congress, House or Senate.
For the Suprem Court, most of those justices are licking his ass...

  6. By observation, the Chinese and Russians and Middle Easteners have invested so much money in our financial industry and parts thereof, plus the hospitality industry, that when the USA does finally "default on their debts", they'll just move in and continue on with business. Taking full control or their "invested assets" at this time. The USA is really much closer to failure than anybody might care to admit OR report on in the news. Remember when the Middle East investments in CitiBank help them through a difficult, 1990s?, gaining a 15% stake in the company? At the time, responding to inquiries about their increasing shareholder stake, CB dismissed that fact, yet it was a red flag that more should be done, which was not. One more thing "normalized" by the financial industry to justify what happened.

T is just working on a "real estate investor" mentality. Do a project, cut some hidden corners, possibly, to increase "gains". When the project has problems, he is farther down the road and "untouchable", except by litigation which is always delayed for one reason or another. Cycle repeat.

He continues with his "trusted uncle" demeanor. Saying things many can like, but with no real way to implement his "fixes", no matter if such fixes might really harm others (other than himself). Taking very little credit for anything that fails in the process. As his "waving magic wands" never does stop, even though the batteries are not there.

There is ONE change of "new clothes" "the emperor" must wear, kind of matching his spray-tanned face color.

  7. Sorry... everything you said was true yet the majority of Americans were OK on Nov 5th with the orange Turd's chaos, crazy, corruption, criminality and cultism..... what we are sadly seeing is just the beginning. Elections have consequences...proof that an informed and intelligent electorate is essential for a democracy to survive. I fear for the future of American democracy.

  8. Oh, that last one. So sad. I think the orange ogre is doing a lot of moonwalking these days...as in back tracking.

    1. Trump backtracked on the tariffs he had planned for Canada and Mexico only because the building and auto industries in the USA went ballistic with fears of the tariffs fully undermining their bottom lines. The building trades heavily rely on Canadian lumber and the auto industry heavily relies on the auto components industry in Mexico. Of course Trump will just say he’s being merciful and had Canada and Mexico back down, and his freak followers will go along….:(
