May 2021 - This is Alireza Fazeli Monfared and he was only 20 years old.
Fazeli Monfared was homosexual and due to the difficulties he faced because of his sexual orientation, was about to flee his native Iran for Turkey, to join his partner who had already reached Turkey. They eventually hoped to get to Norway or Sweden.
On 4th May 2021 Fazeli disappeared. His mother received a telephone call to say where he could be found. Later that day his body was found. He had been beaten and beheaded, by his step-brothers and cousins, because he was homosexual.
Please remember Fazeli, and many more like him who are tortured and murdered because of their sexual orientation.
