Hey Ricko!!!! I just went to try and change my blog header picture and the same thing happened to me. My picture went smaller. I know know what you were talking about. A friend of mine said it's because when blogger updated, they changed the header format, the fuckers.
Anyway, he said either alter the HTML code or some nonsense can be changed which I don't understand, or I could use Photobucket, a website and sign up for a account which was $8 a month, which allowed me to control the size of the picture by XS,S,M or L and it fixed it. My blog header is one of my blog trade marks over the years.... so it was bugging me all afternoon!!!!! I was pulling my hair out!
Just thought I'd give you the heads up in case you desperate for a fix.
Mistress Maddie - When I checked Blogger's forums, a person there with the same problem said it was, indeed, because Blogger changed the format - to fit phones!! Someone else gave instructions on how to change the HTML code (which I'm not unfamiliar with since that's how I get my pix to be so many different sizes). I went in and made the changes and, it didn't work! So I threw my hands up in the air and will wait for Blogger to fix it. Or go without.
Thanks for the the idea of using Photobucket, but I'm too cheap to pay for anything like that.
BTW, were you just tinkering with your header when the problem presented itself? I just checked, and it looks the same as I always remember it.
Mistress Maddie - Yippie! You inspired me to fiddle some more and I reached an acceptable facsimile of what I wanted.
Yes I was! I went to put a new one on this afternoon, and then found out like you did. I was ready to do no picture when my friend gave me the tip about photbucket, because I have no knowledge of playing with HTML code. So yes, it is the same picture, and the correct size. Now I may change the picture shortly sine I know about Photbucket.
Just to clarify, did Mistress Maddie tell you to "dink" some more or "drink" some more? I'm thinkin' either would have achieved the same outcome. Anyway, CHEERS all, have a great week ahead.
Milleson - Well, "dink" is a funny word that I like to use whenever possible. However, Blogger sometimes drives me to drink.
1 - I awake,
2 - I open my eyes and see Mr Neanderthal from the first picture, on the pillow next to me,
3 - I sigh and hug him - life can actually be nice,
4 - I awake for real, ouch...
5 - I am glad for I know people who share bits and pieces of dreams on their blogs I visit whilst having my morning coffees.
(anyway, that Neanderthal is welcome anytime)
