The first and second pictures are by the premiere illustrator of the first half of the 20th century, J.C. Leyendecker. I'm captivated by this man's work as it contained so much in-your-face homoeroticism it's amazing that he was so well-received. His magazine covers, advertisements and other works featured men in various states of dress and undress, always elegant and masculine. He lived with his partner and prominent model, Charles Beach for almost 50 years.
