  1. It amazes me that the majority of the population who did NOT vote for this shit are still putting up with it.

I have a similar sentiment as in the first one; old, gay, male, living off Social Security and legally married to a black man. Who the fuck do you think I voted for?

  3. #1 is awesomely true! When I was growing up in the 1950s. I had few cares other than if I was going to get fed, could go outside to play, and could enjoy my simple life. My world revolved around my parents and family, period. My parents knew about "richer privilege", but I did not, until I got older.

Now, 7 decades later, after working at a good job, having fun, expanding my horizons, and on Soc Security and 401-K, things are good. Looking back, when the Ds were in control, our lives were better as FEDERAL money was in our economy. It was a great career path to go into the military to keep world peace, with a few wars to protect Democracy in the mix during these times.

In the lower grades of public school, we learned about state history and heritage, plus math and science. In high school, state and federal government. Why it was set up the way it is and how it all works. Alternatives were also discussed, too! With the orientation that Democracy was the all-around BEST way to do things. As Communist orientations were NOT nearly as good.

In U. S. History, we learned that World War II was fought to keep Europe from falling into the hands of dictators who were very fascistic! Many American lives were lost in those battles against Fascism! Friends and Families lost people in that war!!! Fascism was "the evil that lurked". It STILL IS the Evil that lurks!!!! In the USA!!!!! Empowered by a high-level political office AND the office-holder's party. Those "supporting" party members are proving how ignorant they have become, to support such a situation, but they and the people who voted for them have forgotten those earlier HISTORY LESSONS. THEY are having too much fun in their "playhouse" and "sand pile" because of this government official.

The "party of little government" talks about "getting government out of our daily lives", as they ALSO expand their own restrictions on how we live our lives. Talking out of both sides of their mouth, in "tongues" which can match those of very conservative religious leaders at the same time. Their orientation is NOT one of progressively improving the lives of the people that voted them in, but CONTROL of those people and their actions with fewer "safety net" actions.

Remember the tv show "Undercover Boss"? Where a CEO went out and worked with the people that worked for him. It was truly eye-opening for those CEOs, to see the daily trials the employees went through to make the company money. To me, EVERY R legislator needs to do that for 6 months! Let them see how their lifestyles would need to change just to survive on "normal pay" of $50K/year.

IF every R-voter had remembered those middle school history lessons, T would NOT have been elected in the first place! They would have known much of what he said he would do was not allowed under the US Constitution HE and others swore to uphold. SWORE to uphold!!!! NOT dismantle for his own joy and gains!!!!!!

    1. I'm a retired teacher since 2011 here in Montréal Canada. I have a bit over $41 000/year income before taxes deduction which gives me a $3 200/month after taxes paid, to live on. After paying all my normal expenses like rent. power electricity, internet-TV cable and groceries etc.. I still have $820/month for extra spendings of to put in my saving account.
For sure I don't have to worry about any medical bills because of our universal healthcare system and other benefits from our governments, federal and provincial.
This is one difference between our two countries.
PS.- Yesterday there was a news about two gay couples, priests from Texas who immigrated here in Canada near Toronto because they were threatened and feared of the SCOTUS next step against LGBTQ community. For sure we are happy to welcome them but our federal government is sadly slow to make their demand easy. Sometimes I'm enraged over those sad situations as we welcome those «muslims» and other people from Morrocco or Liban etc..
Also since these ICE raids, many are trying to come illegally to Canada. How «strange» they aren't going back in Mexico....

  4. But...but...but he promised that the ballroom would be paid for by himself and his crony donor buddies, and I believe everything this wonderful man says. Yeah right, that that's going to fucking happen.

If any of you are into masochism, if you feel like you need to be beaten down even more, if you'd like to have another "HOLY FUCK, WE ARE IN SOME DEEP SHIT HERE" moment, you should read Heather Cox Richardson's Letters from an American post from yesterday. The beast's behavior at yesterday's meeting with Zelenskyy was cringe-worthy and extremely telling about his mental state.

  5. It's pretty amazing what the Republicans are helping him get away with. More and more each day.

Pretty telling that he had to halt the meeting to go consult with Daddy, yet insists he's not a Russian asset. Kruschev was right - Russia is taking the US down without having to fire a single bullet.
