It's striking that as we have developed the ability to answer those profound questions over the last few centuries, the solutions have never turned out to be supernatural. Some still claim that their gods are necessary to explain the shrinking number of phenomena that are still mysteries, but there's no reason to think that any of those will turn out to be supernatural any more than all the things we've already come to understand were.
