The garden maze is reminiscent of the fabric art called molas made by the San Blas Indians near Panama. The needlework is primitive but still tells a imaginative story with little animals, birds and flowers in bright colors on a black background. I picked up several when I was stationed in Panama in the early 70s.
Late summer Mt Hood. Is there a more beautiful peak anywhere?
