Only yesterday I discovered that January 27th was Holocaust Remembrance Day.
I want to observe it but I also want the post about it to be on the correct day.
Some of you might recall that a few weeks ago I mentioned that I had accidentally learned how to post into the past.

(Before you get your tail feathers in a bunch, the following is pure, unadulterated sarcasm) What kind of misinformation and fake history are you spreading on this blog? I watch Fox, OAN and Newsmax and I know none of this Holocaust malarkey ever happened. All those images were created on a Hollywood soundstage and all the skinny people are just computer generated images. I'll be going to the next school board meeting and make sure all those books and films in the school library propagating this myth are removed and burned. Next you'll be telling us the earth is round when all of us smart people know it's flat. Shame on you for spreading such obvious lies. A true MAGA for life...or death, maybe, because I refuse to get Bill Gate's microchip implanting vaccine!!!!!

First, it's not really courageous of you to put such non sense ideology on such a world wide known FACT that the holocaust did occure during the Nazi's time in Germany.
Keep on denying the TRUTH and FACTS and live in your altern fantasy world and ignorant one too. That is the kind of «sh..t» Fuck News and extremist right blogs are spreading in the brains of those who cannot go and search for more accurate informations otherwhere else.
Refuse the science behing the vaccine and COVID19 pandemic BUT never complain if you get sick in ICU under a ventilator on the edge of DEATH, which I'm not wishing for you as a Christian does.
It's only in USA that all these none sens matters are accuring and surprisingly it's among those uneducated people.

JiEL - No! No! Anon said in the very first sentence that his comment is SARCASM. He was making fun of the deniers.
Allow me to follow up. You can see why there was a need for the disclaimer at the beginning of the comment. There could not have been a better example to demonstrate how the dissemination of facts AND fiction are so easily misconstrued by uninformed people and those not familiar with the American English language, which is difficult for many American citizens. This is in no way a putdown or criticism of JIEL, I know he is from French speaking Quebec, and I would be at more of a disadvantage trying to navigate his mother tongue. In these times of the World Wide Web, it is more important than ever to research everything you are gleaning from anything you view online, the deniers and misinformation brigade are very adept at wording their propaganda to mislead unwary readers. Caution is the key word. It's reassuring that we can still have these conversations dealing with such varied subject matter and although there will always be Holocaust deniers, I know the majority of the World's population is very aware that this event did occur and that we will never forget the slaughter of the Jewish people and the slaughter of many of our forefathers who were gay. I take this extremely personal.

As a historical point, I watched David Wolper documentaries on black and white tv of the "death camps" and such in Nazi Germany. That was in the later 1950s. It was not a pretty sight!
The really sad thing is that many seem to want to believe what they (or some "trusted figure" has told them what they should) believe. Therefore, it is "True". Like the old line "Perception is reality" that was popular two decades ago, but was not accurate, by observation. As those same people also tend to believe that THEY are the only ones who know what is going on, that just justifies their orientati0n that much more, to them. Therefore, THEY are "right" and everybody else is wrong, no matter whom it might be. These people are the vocal minority that is fast becoming the vocal majority! We missed that SECOND bullet very slightly. The THIRD bullet needs to not happen! Cdadbr
