  1. #3 looks like it was designed by a Nazi with severe dementia who was on several different drugs at once. It's actually an art museum in China. I assume the only reason it's still standing is that it's too big to be hauled away after being mistaken for a pile of junk.

  2. 2 - The infamous and incomplete 1080 foot tall Ryugyong Hotel of Pyongyang North Korea. The name Ryugyong means “capital of willows” as Pyongyang is known for its willow trees. (at least in North Korea) Construction started in 1987, and has been off and on since then with the help of numerous foreign construction firms. In the hotels of North Korea most rooms are empty and never used, tourists are under surveillance and certain floors have no rooms at all.
North Korea is well known to not build things too well, shoddy construction, electrical systems not grounded, improper installations etc.
By no means travel on the trams or electric trolly buses of Pyongyang, passengers have been electrocuted to death because the vehicles are not grounded ! Or the case of high tension underground electric cables sold to North Korea by Britain that shorted out because the North Koreans did not insulate them as instructed ! Then there’s the central bus station, one of the largest in the world, and hardly used with its fleet of fancy buses parked out front strictly as a showcase. So goes the very strange world of North Korea, the vanity projects of the Kim’s - the Triumphal Arch, the gaudy hotels, and the half baked projects, remind me of a certain first family in our nation’s White House.
