ReplyDeleteMr New York State 1949
Voted most muscular at Mr America in 1949 and 1950. Denied the Mr America title because the organizers felt the USA was not ready for a Mr America of color.
# 2- Photo of a hustler by Bruce Bellas.
Before moving to Los Angeles, physique photographer Bruce Bellas photographed men he met on the roads of Nebraska and the Mid-West (1938-1947).
Traveling around in his Buick, he’d pickup hitchhikers, hustlers, salesmen, military men and missionaries and coax them into posing for him off the side of roads and in the rooms of motor court motels. The photos ranged from near nude to more explicit fare.
