ReplyDeleteThere is a wonderful kind of beauty to insects that I think many people never consider. I grew up on a farm so I was surrounded by a bounty of creatures, both wild and domestic. I remember one spring 40 years ago, the lilac bush that grew under my window was full of hummingbird moths. It was amazing. I've never forgotten watching them buzz around the lilac blooms, half a dozen of them flitting with transparent wings.
