$23 trillion would be almost three thousand dollars for each person on Earth. If he's referring to just the top 1% of Americans, then it would come to almost seventy thousand dollars per American. That's a lot of trickling that needs to happen. And remember that all that value was created by workers, not by the oligarchs. They've rigged the system to enable themselves to expropriate what the workers create. Louis XVI would be speechless with envy.
ReplyDeleteInfidel - That's a good comparison.
DeleteWhich all rather explains why they don't freak out when the markets drop.
ReplyDeleteIt's without no real effect on the 1% of them if they lose some of their wealth because they never live from paycheck to paycheck like any normal workers.
ReplyDeleteFor me I have some shares in what we call here a «CELI» (Compte d'Épargne Libre d'Impôts- Saving Account Free of Income Taxe) which was $72 450$Can before the Felon president had gone to war. It dropped to $68 900 in the worst phase. Now it's around $71 450 .
His foolish decisions is affecting us, all of us in the world and he doesn't care.
Sorry but by now don't be surprised that many democratic countries are now relying on each other on a new future economy and getting away from USA which is now no more a reliable partner.
Wise of those countries to do that. I wish I could say Trump is a fluke that will not be repeated, but since he got elected twice, and given how the party politics in this country are playing out, it's not impossible that someone like him could get into power again. And it's never good for the democratic world to be too dependent on a single country, no matter how stable.
DeleteYou have limited, since the beginning of your Constitution, to choose between only TWO parties. Many other constitutions in the world like here in Canada, have multi parties choices. In our federal and provincial legislatures we can choose among 5 parties.
DeleteWhat is also very different from USA, we don't have the affiliation from those parties all over our politic system. In USA ALL is Democrat or Republican: states governments, cities jurisdictions, mayors, police chief, judges, Supreme Court etc..
You don't see this in Canada or any other democracies.
Not surprising that your politic is one of confrontation and extremist positions which is dividing you more now with this MAGA 47 felon president.
Yes the rest of the world is looking at the USA and working out how best to move away from them. Trade, defence, any reliance on a stable and predictable country has to be without the USA factored in in 2026. Not something any of us in the UK imagined a few years ago.
DeleteNow the oligarchs and their sick ilk are panicking because Orbán of Hungary just lost his ass at the elections Putin and Trump tried to influence with the oligarchs support. My Hungarian great grandfather is cheering from the great beyond :)
ReplyDeleteÉljen Magyarország ! 🇭🇺

Orbán's defeat is indeed great news, especially since it was so decisive and the turnout was so high.
