  1. It is so sad to see that "bathtub ring." And yet, they keep approving huge new developments when there isn't enough water for the population we already have.

  2. At the rate it’s going Hoover dam and its reservoir will one day be bone dry. Water will have to be divvied out by water courts like the Tribunal de les Aigües they have in the very dry Andalusia region of Spain.
With the very thirsty AI data centers being proposed and built, the very water we drink to live will become the next big commodity for very greedy speculators. Water will be worth its weight in gold, you think your water bills are high now, hold on to your wallets !
AI data centers should be made to use desalinated water from the oceans, not from our fresh drinking water supplies.
Not to mention farmers and ranchers who are concerned they will be struggling to pay very high water bills or have no water at all.

  3. Out West we need to face reality. The Colorado River watershed has collapsed. I moved to Las Vegas in 1975. Moved away 12 years ago because of the water crisis on the Colorado River. It is only a matter of time (very soon) before Lake Mead becomes a Dead Pool where there isn’t enough water to spin the electrical turbines in Hoover Dam. About 60% of this electricity goes to California. About 60% of the water in Lake Mead also goes to California primarily to grow food. Meanwhile the bureaucrats in the various statehouses up and down the river argue.
