ReplyDelete#3 - Cracker Barrel . . . the first time I went into a CB in the middle 1970s, I was amazed at how well they'd merchandised the place. Diners waiting for a table had scads of things to look at and be amazed at. neat that the wait staff was dressed in early 1900s attire. Unfortunately, that "Grand Ma's cooking" did not arrive, not even close. So the place is more about "ambience" than a great meal! Just like the large rocking chairs on the outside, for waiting customers (which seem to be lacking these days).
ReplyDeleteThe new sign, a BAD upgrade, BUT not in the way MAGA claims. Heading toward the 1930s rather than BLAND would have been better. Rather than having their guy sitting in a rocking chair, let him lean against his new flathead V-8 Ford! With his female mate at his side, almost like Bonnie and Clyde.
On the other hand, I wonder about the shelf life of all of those little candy tidbits for sale "in the store"?

Sickening what Trump and his fucklings have done to the White House and our country. From White House to shit house, they really have a deep and sick hatred of America.
Just recently viewed a tv special from 1962 of Jackie Kennedy giving a tour of the White House, and talking about all the hard work done to collect, catalog and restore and furnish the White House with original furniture, furnishings and art works from past presidents gifted by their descendants and serious collectors. Talk about a gracious and intelligent First Lady.
I hope that one day when this nightmare ends the White House can be fully restored to its former glory and strict laws passed and fully enforced to protect it.
