ReplyDeleteThe time in province of Québec when we gained our freedom is in the 60's when we collectively exclude religion (mainly the Catholic Church) from all of our politic system, schools etc..

Hydro Québec public electric power and universal healthcare are only two examples among many others.
The one about "killing to prove it is right" is the same logic used in the old Salen Witch Trials, where if a person was killed by fire or drowning, the person was not a witch. When we studied that in elementary school, that approach seemed wrong to me. IF the person was not a witch, why kill them to prove it? Nobody ever got to the part where the witch lived to see what would happen next, it seemed, as nobody lived. Oh well . . .

As for Argentina, the free wheeling capitalism and austerity of Milei hasn’t worked as to be expected, that has been tried several times before in Argentina.

That first 20 billion will go to the American hyenas and jackals of Wall Street who invested in an economic basket case country to protect their hedge funds from massive losses in Argentina.
The additional 20 billion will go to prop up Milei and his incompetent and useless government. The crackpot American investors and Milei will be back for more American taxpayer bailouts.
