  1. Leave it to the Japanese.... That's pretty cool...if it's self-driving, too, what a concept. That's beyond luxury.

    1. Huawei is a Chinese company, and if one has the bucks, go for it. From a poor man's viewpoint, albeit cynical, all these luxury add-ons are just that many more things that can and will malfunction and will necessitate a trip to the dealership for repair. Again, if you have the dough, this minor imposition won't deter you from the purchase of a classy ride, to be sure.

  2. Huawei Maextro S800 is priced at
98 000-150 000 dollars depending on configuration as hybrid or all electric.
The Chinese are giving Detroit, Stuttgart and Tokyo a run for their money and more competition is to come.
Problem is no carmaker is making an affordable car, even the Chinese.
That fact will end them all as dealers now offer 8, 9 and 10 year payment contracts, and repair costs and auto insurance rates go out the roof.

  3. GM autos of 1961 offered the bubble top pagoda and vista roofs for the last time when they were ditched for more formal rooflines in 1962, as insisted by the accounting department to save costs on glass.
Gradually the designers would be over taken by the bean counters and the glory days of GM would come to a close.

  4. I always liked the Avanti design so ahead of its time.
