  1. ALL great comments!!!!
Many perceive the "living paycheck to paycheck" people to be poor people, BUT this will also apply to those who live at the edge of their means. No matter their level of income!! For those with non-minimum wage incomes, THEY have choices of how to downsize their spending habits, but as the income level decreases, their options decrease until they are living on the street.

Living on the street can also hinder any job search activities. While many might be able to afford a cell phone for communications, they lack a "street address" to formalize things, where documents can be sent, unless they can afford rent on a post office box somewhere. Many who demean these people do not even think about these things! Other than "If they can afford a cell phone, they can afford other things, too". A different set of realities involved!!!

    1. Cdadbr - Some charity organizations allow people to use their address for job correspondence.

    2. Sadly some employers are wise to that and will not hire them. :(
We have a pernicious situation system of an increasingly indentured population.
