ReplyDeleteRemodel ALL legislative offices to "a spec" with only a few personal items and any awards the legislator might have received in there. "Business" over "spectacle".
The ethnic make-up of SCOTUS should reflect the diversity of the nation's population. Even if Rs don't agree with that. DEI is back, with uniform standards for all!
Completely modernize and upgrade all immigration policies! FINALLY!! Build a agreements with Mexico and Canada to let them pre-qualify any immigrants seeking to reside in the USA, by having them work and stay in the neighboring countries for 5 years. Also upgrade any background check databases, too! Build a national database of companies that seek their labor and expedite their travel to those jobs. 5 yrs of good job performance and employment history earn citizenship. Might some "bad guys" get in? No doubt, but also look at how many "good guys" came too! Let THEM become a part of the American Dream they are seeking.
EVERY registered voter is urged to vote! Dawn to Dusk voting times in easily accessible locations for two weeks. Voting needs to be urged, even outside of normal business hours.
Never in my lifetime did I imagine I'd be witness to so many people gleefully awaiting the death of an American President, but here we are, in unprecedented times, and I have become one of those people. Keep in mind that he is only a figurehead, an easily manipulated buffoon of a puppet whose strings are being pulled and controlled by a sea of even more dangerous people so determined to remain in power that their actions will continue long after the funeral we await. We will be dealing with the damage and cleanup of this administration for years to come. The few glimmers of resistance I see are encouraging, but the 2026 mid-term elections will be the telling point if we begin to right the wrongs or continue down this country's impending demise. That is to say, if...and I mean IF we are allowed to have any semblance of a free and fair election. That remains to be seen with all this gerrymandering activity and voter suppression legislation occurring in the red states.
ReplyDeleteThe obituary will be a start but the battle for our country will continue until all of the puppet masters are brought to justice and punished for their patently illegal and seditious activities. With the control they have usurped so far, it's doubtful many of them will see jail time. That effort will take a cleansing the likes of which we have not witnessed in our brief history. Recalling the power-hungry rulers of ancient civilizations and their demise, those efforts took years to accomplish and a loss of life of millions of innocent people, unfortunately caught up in the power-play for world domination. This may have to happen again before our wrong has been righted.
None of what we are experiencing now had to happen. If a few Republican senators would have had the courage to impeach an obvious guilty man in 2019 and again in 2021, we would be dealing with an entirely different outcome, probably better but possibly worse. Unfortunately, there's no going back and the Republican ideology dies hard.
It's encouraging that 73% of the country wants him gone. Now, if they'd only VOTE that way.
