Thanks for these "dream cars of the future", Rick. Those were times of GREAT optimism about the future. When kids in school are EAGER to learn about science and physics to make these cars a reality for all. What COULD be achieved was boundless and unlimited. SCIENCE, CHEMISTRY, and PHYSICS were the routes to a better life for all. "Better Living Through Chemistry". THEN came the accountants and "conservatives" that said "We can't afford that" and here we are.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS for the memories, Rick!
Cdadbr - You are very welcome.
DeleteOh, look! It's the Batmobile!!!! 😉
ReplyDeleteThe rooflines and chrome roof tiara molding on the 1955 and 56 Ford Crown Victoria was inspired by the Lincoln XL. Just as the canted tail lights of the 1957 Lincoln and the round tail lights on the 1959 Ford and the 1961 Thunderbird were inspired by the Ford La Tosca.
