Somebody should show Trump the last one. Incredible to think that the economy is actually being run like that.
ReplyDeleteOf course, his position is that since you now have to pay 50% extra for groceries, that will give you an incentive to produce your own groceries at home rather than importing them from the store. Which would be about as practical as most of his half-assed ideas about import substitution.

ReplyDeleteBack when Trump was inferring that all Blue States were "takers" and Red States were "producers", one major news outlet did a printout and took it to the R convention. The printout clearly indicated that MOST of the Red States were TAKERS as the Blue States were all PRODUCERS. Just the opposite of what was being stated. They approached several convention attendees with their newly-discovered data. NONE of those talked to were aware of the REAL situation! NOR had they investigated it themselves! Some were taken aback by the new, accurate data. These revelations didn't make anu difference, they still believed the comments of T, although at that time, about 63% of what came out of his mouth was documented as "untrue".
DeleteYep, they drank the CoolAid. That initial dose did not seem to affect them. Perhaps the current "delayed reaction" will?
Either those RED state folks don't have the brain capacity to figure that out, or they're fully on board with socialism. But that's like everything they "hate" except when it benefits THEM.
ReplyDeleteLet them get ready for the "Big Beautiful Bill" increasing their Obamacare premiums in a year or so, too! IF it's not eliminated completely by them. Yep, they voted for that! Just didn't know it at the time.
DeleteRed states, blue states will always be issues in USA as ALL your social and politic system is based on only two parties on ALL the levels even in the justic system.
ReplyDeleteIn Canada as in many other democracies we have more than two parties and those usually are not seen on other levels of governements like here in provincials or towns etc. Most of all our justice system has no politic affiliation and must be nutral on all level.
Also, NO religions are part of any level of our politic system.
You'll never hear someone say: God save Canada.....
