ReplyDeleteWhen I retired last night at 11:30pm, I lay there adding up the hours I had been in bed throughout the day, and I realized it totaled 17 hours. 17 hours, blankets pulled up tight around my neck, body in the fetal position and the room darkened against the bright sun, wanting nothing more than to hide away from reality for most of the day. I realize from time to time I am consuming much too much news and it eventually causes me to shut down and turn everything off. I know I am not alone.
ReplyDeleteThis is where we're headed: More disasters like the Texas flooding and the loss of so many young Christian girls' lives at Camp Mystic. One has to wonder if Gov. Abbott and Sens. Cornyn and Cruz didn't get those always helpful thoughts and prayers started early enough. This is where we are: Setting up detention centers in the Everglades to house suspected criminals in tents and cages not fit for mongrel dogs. This is what is being created: A state police force of ICE agents and pseudo ICE goons; masked, armed and doing the dirty work of illegally rounding up people without due process.
The American Gestapo is created, although a poor comparison to the German version in the 30s and 40s. Come on MAGA and Republicans, you can do better. Where are the immaculately tailored uniforms, the knee-high shiny black boots, the strong white Aryan faces, crowned with blond hair? Why are our ICE agents attired in disheveled camo duds and masked to avoid recognition? If your cause is just, there is no need to hide your identity. But the aim is apparent: To terrorize and make innocent people fearful, to determine through force who are the supporters of the regime and who are the opposition. It seems very clear that the tRUMP administration will need millions more cages for us, the WOKE people who see the truth and are determined to not let this become a egregious part of American history. This chapter is in no way finished.
Suddenly Texas and USA are in thoughts and prayers for those like «young Christian girls» dead and in the meanwhile million of third world children will die because of DOGE cuts on USAID.
DeleteNot to mention that this administration made huge cuts in services for US citizens and is closing many social benfits for the poorest and the one in need.
Not surprising that Felon 47 dumbass is sending ASAP federal aid to Texas because this state is the most red state among the other. Surprising that now Abbot will accept federal help and 47 Felon in the same time is babbling when asked what he will do to cancel FEMA.. Not now... A red state need it... GRRRRR !
