I've had this particular image since 2017, and had not noticed the surfer until now.
# 4 - The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Back in 1949 a relative who was a bodybuilder posed nude for a photographer among its columns. They had to plan it carefully so as not to get caught. They drove in the photographer’s car, a brand new Frazer automobile, that the photographer was proud of. They drove to the Palace of Fine Arts on an early morning when it was closed, it was a very unusually sunny morning with hardly any fog. A solitary guard was present, luckily it appeared he wasn’t around where they set up for the photoshoot. My relative wore a pair of flip flops and a robe and then quickly removed them for the daring full nude physique photoshoot. The photographer shot away with his Leica camera as my relative posed among the columns and balustrades. When he was finished posing, he quickly put back on his robe and flip flops and he and the photographer quickly walked back to the parking lot to the photographer’s car. On the way the elderly security guard walked by and gave them a wink and smiled ! No doubt the elderly guard had seen at least part of the daring photoshoot. As my relative told me, he and the photographer laughed as they drove back home in the photographer’s Frazer automobile. -CA jock
