  1. Good. This asshole doesn't deserve any more airtime...

  2. The billionaire-owned mass media definitely don't want people talking about him. They were shocked when they realized how many people consider him a hero, and when all the scolding and condescension by their best pet talking heads and commentators didn't change that. No matter. The blogosphere and alternative media will keep the story alive.

  3. While I do not condone his actions, I applaud Luigi for bringing to light the disastrous state of healthcare in this country. We live in unsettled and explosive times now. If the problems that plague us in our daily lives cannot be resolved by government legislation and regulation, individuals will find a way to attempt to right the wrong. Violent acts are not off the table. The CEOs of companies that continue to make billions in profit at the expense of the public are symbolic of the injustice being done, and there may be others like Luigi to attempt a solution to their perceived problem, legally or illegally.

    1. Not to mention the “business decisions” of some of these CEO’s is literally killing innocent people and destroying the lives of their families. :(

  5. I suspect that MANY corporate board members suspect they operate in their own little world where they make decisions as to profits and nobody really cares. Luigi became the face of massive frustrations with the USA "the best healthcare in the world" populace. People have become accustomed to "insurance" approvals having big impacts on their quality of life. Luigi's actions proved that "We're not gonna take it any more!" is more than a song lyric.

Of course, as insurance companies are paying the bills, they make decisions of how much and when they spend, naturally. But sometimes these decisions take months to make, rather than days. Is that due to "under-staffing" or otherwise? We'll never know.

Will the insurance companies "change their ways"? Probably not, other than having high-level meetings in mountain resorts rather than in the middle of NYC. Perhaps, Luigi should have used a paintball gun, just to "mark" his target rather than kill him? BUT he did what he did and we'll have to wait for the trial to progress to see how things turn out.

  6. I can have empathy for Luigi's insurance situation, but to kill, that was WRONG!!

  7. Luigi is only a terrorist to the obscenely wealthy. I cannot condone what he did (Patriot that he is), but I also can't bring myself to click the thoughts and prayers bottom either.

  8. This is a very interesting case. I think the healthcare industry is in for a bit of a shock.
