2025.0226.0001-Wednesday...
Eggs here are $12.99 a dozen. Beef is at $26 / lb....
ReplyDeleteYes, we're so happy we are able to have the Gulf of America, and that we're spending billions to deport women and children at a reported cost of approx $500k each.
Each night I go to bed and chant U.S.A! U.S.A!
ReplyDeleteThe congressman can talk all he wants about the regular people getting screwed. They are the very people who voted for trump. Those farmers? They're getting their subsidies from the federal government cut. "Oh, but they meant those poor folk..."
In Montreal Canada I paid $3,25 for my extra big 12 eggs... OK! I can hear you saying that I pay alot of taxes but my bracket is at 12% on my after deductables. For 2024 income taxes reports I will have over $2000 of return back to me directly in my bank account.
ReplyDeleteAll this with many social advantages like our universal healthcare system to name only this one.
My 6 prescriptions including my Ozempic ($45)cost me $99/month.
I'll never understand how your GOP and government cannot see that in lowering taxes it will pay for your umongust Trillions of dollars defecit.
In USA since Roosevelt it's the never ending story of the battle of the wealthy and the working class.
Here we go again with another Republican budget that extends Trump’s tax cuts to the wealthy that were set to expire this year with even more tax cuts to billionaires! When will Democrats realize that wealth inequality is what they need to campaign on and campaign on it relentlessly! Forget the culture war, we need a class war!
ReplyDeleteI feel you need more a French 1789 REVOLUTION as they had the wealthy arictocrats (in USA over wealthy oligarchs) to put in place the real meaning of the We The People of your old Constitution.
DeleteMaybe some of you aren't starving enough or aren't too much in huge debts to feel the real rage to move on....
JiEL - That's a very good point.
DeleteAnon@8:08am - You're absolutely right!
DeleteHi
ReplyDeleteHere in the UK the price of 12 large eggs is around £3.15 which I think is $4
Hugs Bob in 🇬🇧
The price of eggs is indicative of much more serious matters. No, his royal assness cannot wave his tarnished sceptre and command the price of our groceries will come down. One underlying problem here is the gutting of the CDC, the NIH and the FDA. Those agencies are now understaffed and under the ?august? control of brain-worm infested JFK, Jr. These fired inspectors and researchers should be working on how to eliminate and control the Bird Flu strains that result in the necessary killing of millions of layer hens. Less layers = less eggs. DUH! The more people feeling the impact of this current administration's reckless management of our daily needs so that wealth distribution continues to only benefit the obscenely rich, the better it will be for some change to occur. It appears to be in the making, but it can't happen soon enough.
ReplyDeleteWhat to do until then? Contact your State Senators and Representatives and politely keep the heat on them, showing our displeasure of the current that the opposition party spends too much time legislating inane and unnecessary laws that do not help the masses. It's easy to call and leave a message, email them or see if their phone # take texts. If peaceful protests are being organized in your areas, support them and be visible. If your friends and family members have lost their jobs and anyone, especially the Vets, who are suffering in some way, give them a helping hand. Our strength is in our numbers to combat this blatant attempt to dissolve this country in to a fascist monarchy, ruled by a tyrannical maniac whose ignorance is incomprehensible and will get some us killed in the process. It is happening to some extent now with the needless deaths from the flu and other diseases that were eradicated years ago, but now reappear because of the anti-vaxxers and their own stupidity. It's sad that the children that are being sacrificed don't have a say in their deaths.
Milleson - Thank you!
DeleteFunny, I heard on CNN someone suggesting to import eggs from Canada and the EU to lower the prices and stop the eggs shortage.
DeleteCome on dear Americans, we like you but NEVER will we sell you our healthy eggs as your King is saying that he doesn't need anything from Canada...
Sorry for you dear American friends...
I was just talking about this JiEl. I said that Canadians should take pictures of themselves eating eggs and send those pictures to the US.
DeleteEverything seems to have been ‘up-ended’ since Trump was elected, sane heads need to stick together with a clear vision of unity, especially amongst nations that have common bonds and links, I trust in that unity more than the things upon which we differ, to bind us together to compensate for the current instability. Common sense and justice will pull us through. Hugs from Bob in the UK
ReplyDeleteBob - Thank you, too.
DeleteWe in Germany cannot believe how America is being destroyed from within, your enemies are joyous. It has emboldened the extreme-right in Germany and throughout the world.
ReplyDeleteYour leader is a man who believes your constitution is just a piece of inconvenient paper and your treaties with your allies mear scrap paper. This will not end well, götterdämmerung is yours :\
(vvs)
VVS - Yes, it will not end well.
DeleteWow that's expensive!
ReplyDeleteIn Japan, a carton of eggs costs about $2.
Until last year, I could buy it for $1.
All food prices have risen sharply lately.
America and it's dictator definitely have their priorities in line, what a joke.
