I loved watching them as a kid (but it was dated then). Couldn't take my eyes off their eyebrows!

-- That "fish" just kept getting bigger and longer by the second!
-- The bread was masterful, as to the imprint and such.
-- The amount of animation of the "Thunderbirds" was amazing, especially for back then! Better than the normal cartoons! That hidden launch pad is masterful!

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s opus of Supermarionation from ITC, and one of the first shows in the UK filmed in color to appeal to American television networks that demanded color television programming. (The UK went to color tv broadcasting in November 1969, by contrast the USA had color tv in 1954 and Italy did not have color tv until 1977 !)
The trick to the Thunderbirds was the use of high speed cameras that made the action of the spaceships and vehicles more realistic. And what kid didn’t try and collect all the Thunderbird merch put out by Corgi and Dinky in the 1960’s and 1970’s. -Rj
