Indoctrination should be illegal.

Baptized in the church, raised in the church, on my own at 20, joined the Navy at 21, honorably discharged at 29, Sporadically attended church with my Mom when I went to visit the folks. For the next 40 years I've taken the time to critically analyze what I was taught to believe. At 70 my conclusion was: Great story, interesting but confusing characters, disaster sequences were cool, Cecil B. DeMille would salivate to make this fable into a movie(which he did). After 70 I've lived my life fearlessly, taking ownership of my actions and responsibility for my life, without the faith and hope for a heavenly home after death or eternal pain and suffering in hell for eternity for being a naughty gay man, It's surprising how light and free you feel with the weight of that burdensome religious dogma off your shoulders and out of your mind. Personal short story of my journey, I'm sure others have similar stories to tell.

Just about the same. Joined the Army at 21 honorably discharged at 25. Went to church for a while with friends. Knew I was different at 6. But didn't know what it was called at that age. Knew in High School that I was gay. After 40 I quit all churches. Am now 80 and have told people the bible was written by men to suit their way of thinking and is basically B S.
