The last is so true. I just read that essentially when we shop and buy food...and come out of the store with three bags....drop one immediately in the trash is how much food is wasted. Tips to not Easter food...1- places should donate unused or sold food. 2- only buy what you need. 3-If it's something that won't be eaten right away...freeze foods if you can. 4- Have a left over night. 5-If non perishable are still not used, donate to a food Bank. The amount of food we waste is astounding...especially with so many who can't afford even staple items and those in starvation zones.

A cousin of mine works a community farm...and they harvest more then they can ever sell. She started a program where they harvest all the left over produce from the farm to food banks...shelters and shuts ins like veterans and elderly. Since then she has gotten other farms to do the same.

FDR, a son of privilege, saw through the bullshit and knew full well the common people had to be cared for and not ignored at America’s peril and very existence as a country and a democracy.
Honor noblesse of the highest order. :)
Since his time, corporate America has gone back to the way they were before FDR’s reforms, the very reforms that saved their sorry asses, after they caused the Great Depression due to corporate support of Republican laissez faire economics.
Now it’s gone full circle with their greed and it’s not going to end well for them as in the past, corporate America never learns. And all of America suffers. :(
