More deaths have been required and accomplished in the name of religion than from any other source; war, pestilence, famine. After all, the world's entire population was drowned a long time ago, leaving only Noah and his family to live on and populate the world with incestuous activity. It's in the book.
Milleson, and what a strange and uneven book it is ... I've always thought a more accurate title for it would be the Bronze-Age Goatherder's Guide to the World: Sins and Salvation.
