For those of us who started growing up in the 1950s, WE have seen changes with each coming year. WE know what it used to be in those earlier years. The grungy skies of industrialized/population centers, plus the deep blue skies of regions away from them, too. When the ozone hole over the North Pole was the indicator everybody watched.

For me, that is now over 70 years ago. People growing up in the 1990s did not see or watch these things happen. They didn't know the Smog Days in Los Angeles not experience the burning eyes from it, for example. Or the brownish sky color when you reached the end of Ranger Hill on I-20 headed into DFW. To the younger people, they only know what they grew up with, just as WE know what we grew up with and how much progress has been made with a phenominally-larger vehicle population in present times.

Younger people might have gotten a glimpse of how things used to be during the earlier days of the COVID pandemic when fewer people were driving to work, when the skies suddenly got bluer. IF they had looked up from their social media to really notice what was going on and why! THEN many would understand just how much humans are contributing via very clean automotive exmission vehicles.

Everyone - We are destined to repeat, and destroy ourselves in the process.

Well, when a population is allowed to multiply without restraint? The petri dish eventually becomes so polluted - said population dies. I'd say figure it out... but 90% of said population is too ignorant, poorly educated and damn selfish to give a rat's azz.
