Wow! Awesome! That's a World Naked Bike ride at Gasworks Park (in the background) and the fountain at Seattle Center. I was there but no shots of me in the background. We'd end up at the Seattle Center to wash off our body paint but, several years later, the area around the fountain was remodeled and a barricade was put up around the fountain (as I recall) so we couldn't do that any more. Overall, our presence at the Seattle was welcomed or tolerated, but there was always a few who were upset about the nudity. Thanks for posting!

Hey ther Purple Wolf, maybe I know you from the former WNBRs, Solstice Parades, Body Pride Rides, etc etc
The subject of these pictures is a very nice guy who joined us on all the naked biking events for a few years running. We have not seen him in recent years, thinking he may have moved from Seattle.
Pictures are from two different events: Solstice Parade & celebrations in Gasworks Park after the ride, and the other pictures are at the Seattle Center Fountain after a regular WNBR a few weeks later. I was on both of the rides pictured.
The Seattle Center was cool about us cleaning off body paint in the fountain. After the retrofitting of the fountain that you mentioned, the fountain opened to the publice again. They said that since the new filter totally purifies the water and can handle anything from whole diapers to mircoparticles, there was no problem with us jumping in to cool off. They said it was totally fine, bring it on.
We always put out signs at the fountain saying when we would arrive. We had all the permissions squared away, and had the proper perade permits etc. I only remember bemusment and happiness all around over many years.
Portland's night ride is pure joy. Go to that! Thousands ride in it each year. Wish I could have gone to it again this year. My fellow riders said they had a great time!
