This is a false statement; the penguins are not gay. They are genetically programmed to take care of eggs. If they cannot they become highly stressed and can become sick and/or die.

Hmmm. Mean gay penguins do that crap. I don't understand the need to have gaybies... there are too many humans as is... we do not need more. In a way, they are the new Chihuahuas.
This is a flase statement as it's in their genes that male penguins take care of an egg. Those single ones are just bad lucky to not have found a female to mate with and in that time they urge to take care of an egg.
Not more gay as male hypocamps are hosting their numerous eggs inside their belly pouch. It's no gay hypocmaps but only the way they use to mate and have their ofsprey.

JiEL is correct. The penguins are not gay. They are genetically programmed to take care of eggs. If they cannot they become highly stressed and can become sick and/ or die. That's why rocks looking like eggs are a suitable replacement. Homosexuality is normal in most animal species, but the prevalence is low. That's the same in humans.
