I always find these old house plans interesting to see what they considered important. Bathrooms? Not important. Everyone shares one small bathroom (except in the second house, the maid has her own tiny bathroom with a toilet and tub but no sink – is she supposed to wash her hands in the tub?) Kitchen? Not important. The servants will use the small kitchen. Dining room? Yes, we must have a huge dining room. -Larry
