That first set of pictures are extremely well done. Nice naked men and rustic atmospheres.
ReplyDeleteRick, I once mentioned in an email to you that I had stopped commenting on the blogs I visit about the sexualized pictures shared. Nothing wrong with them, just felt that others could do that job better than I. I will make an exception today for the first set of five pictures in this post. They are what really turn me on visually. Beautiful men artistically posed in great settings, worthy of wall space in any home. I would not be ashamed to have the little ones in my family see these with their parents, I know it would spark a valuable conversation about nudity and sexuality. We shouldn't delude ourselves, kids are aware of their bodies and the bodies of their siblings at a very early age. Talking openly and truthfully takes the mystery and the "naughtiness" away. The last of the five closely resembles the feeling of many of Andrew Wyeth's paintings. Great finds and thank you for sharing them with us. We appreciate the work you do every day.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - I appreciate YOU as well!

ReplyDelete#1) Maybe I'm just filled with too much testosterone OR I'm just a dirty old man. But just imagine you had to share this housing lodge with 10 other working miners and your the 1 out of the ten that "like" men in "that way", what would you do? I don't know where I'm going with this, but everything about this pic REEKS masculinity.
Over and out, I just can't go on to the rest of the pics, quite yet. I will be back later, AFTER I have "released" some testosterone.
Plus one on the first set, as well as on Richard's comment about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's not only about the use of sepia tones - which here is a fine choice - it is also about capturing something that is supposed to be intimate, if not ordinary, while making it worthy of the Art Gallery our homes ought to be.
Excellent choice of yours, Rick.
Laurent - Thank you.
