This is a blueberry cobbler I made two days ago.

I have since learned that this is more of a "buckle",
which is different from a true cobbler.

Not to split hairs but that looks more like a buckle and not quite a cobbler. I realize to a lot of people in the United States they’re one in the same but they are not. Being a pastry chef, I prefer cobblers versus a buckle. If I’m forced to eat a crisp I will but prefer a cobbler. Hell, put anything sweet in my mouth and I’ll probably enjoy it LOL

Unknown@10:20am - Haha! I'm the same way when it comes to sweets: I'm not fussy what it's called. But seriously, I Googled the difference between a buckle and a cobbler and you are correct. Many of the recipes I've looked at interchange those names. I've never made the biscuit-type topping. I'll start calling my delights by the name buckle from now on because that's more accurate. Thank you!

Well, whatever they are called, I got hungry and wanted to eat the guys in the earlier set of pictures. Now I'm hungry for sweets. Maybe combine them into a masculine cobbler/buckle? Don't want that man to be too crispy, right? Rick, your pictures of your dishes are evidence that you are a good cook. Yumm...

I have a recipe for a grunt. Easy and delicious. Blueberries water and sugar are simmered in a pan and a dough is made and dropped on the simmering fruit, then covered. After a few minutes, voilĂ ..! I’ll email you the recipe. I’ve made it for years.

It also looks like a Nantucket Pie, usually made with cranberries, but any berries will do, or chopped apples. In a large pie plate, I swirl melted butter. Mix 1 cup each of flour, sugar, and milk, with 1 Tbs. baking powder. Pour into the melted butter. Top with berries mixed with sugar and nuts to taste. Bake until brown around the edges. Couldn't be easier!

Unknown@11:29pm - Wow, thank you! I saved that recipe. However, I have to ask about the amount of baking powder: One Tbs. seems like a lot. The ratio I've seen most often is 1 teaspoon baking powder to 1 cup flour. Sometimes it's 1.5 baking powder to 1 cup flour. Still, I'll follow your recipe. It sounds super.
