With the fifth anniversary of the mass killing at the Pulse in Florida and the now towering mass shootings over 267 in USA and adding this murder of Matthew Shepard, seems that hate and violence will never end in USA.
ReplyDeleteI know that violence and killings are also sadly going on in other countries but in USA, they seem to be getting worse and worse with no hope of being sloved.
JiEL - I cannot argue with you. But, in case you didn't know the details, Matthew Shepard was killed in October 1998. From Wikipedia:
ReplyDelete"Matthew Wayne Shepard was a gay American student at the University of Wyoming who was beaten, tortured, and left to die near Laramie on the night of October 6, 1998. He was taken by rescuers to Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he died from severe head injuries six days later."
Every time I see that picture of Matthew Shepard I cry. Hate, ignorance and pure evil festering in a bunch of homophobic numb nuts purposefully destroyed an angelic soul (the angels among us) and snuffed out a life that should have been lived. Sad and sickening. And now two and a half decades later, it's "let's go kill the transsexuals. We don't understand or like them just like the homos." Will it never end?
ReplyDeleteI really know ALL the story of Matthew Shepard for many years and I was just wanting to underline that HATE seems to be, as often, the subject of many killings for decades in USA.
ReplyDeleteThe LGBTQ rights in your country is a sort of yo yo story that is going up and down in regard of who is in office in Washington and in some states too.
With this said, no matter the mass killing or racist ones in USA, violence isn't dimunishing and your people never get the issue of all this too.
Baring guns right is so anti pro life that it's almost ridiculous that those who are shouting on pro life and are most republicans and Evangelicals Christians are also protesting to keep the right to own such deadly weapons.
Milleson - I don't think there will ever be an end.
ReplyDeleteJiEL - Yeah, that bunch is nuts.
