I would definitely recommend (to those who never tried) wearing kilts at least once in their lives. I mean for a whole day long, whatever that day is. Oh and of course you'll have to wear them properly, which means without your usual briefs. It feels quite like being nude when swimming.
ReplyDeleteI did it once (wearing a kilt), as the result to a bet I had lost: I had to come to work dressed as a Scottish. Of course I did not have the whole genuine costume but I managed with a kilt I borrowed from a friend, neat worker shoes & high socks, and a hussar jacket I had bought on eBay months before. It only cost me a new tartan-style tie to complete the whole thing. What a funny day it was! Especially regarding the look in many of my colleagues' eyes (you know, the 'he dared to do it' sight).
Thank you Rick for jogging my memory with this one picture :-)
BatRedneck - What a neat story! Thanks for sharing. I would really like to try a kilt, but not a scratchy wool one.
ReplyDeleteCome on!
ReplyDeleteWool cannot be scratchy unless it comes from a castrated black goat's back, and has been spun by a malevolent aunty witch stinking the cockroach in heat.
Nah... Lambswool is soft and will be gentle to your skin. It'll keep you warm in winter, and will respire as per your needs when the weather gets warmer.
So listen to Dr Robert: lambswool is what you need to feel better. Now... gently swallow your magic blotter, will you?
(for the record: this is just a fiction, figments of my imagination, you know... What?! Who are you green-skinned people with sheriff badges??? Arghhh...!!! Help!...)
(gasp - sound of last breath)
(voice in the background: maybe we should re-think these stupid X-Files impersonations and tell them they're not alone...)
- power grid shutting down - we ar not alone...
BatRedneck - Then lamb's wool it will be. Mulder was so cute!
ReplyDeleteYep, you're right. Mulder was cute.
ReplyDeleteBut Scully was the one with the balls.
(just the pragmatic me speaking here)
Nice kilt.
ReplyDeleteBatRedneck - Yeah, she had some balls alright.
ReplyDeleteBatRedneck - Oh, heck. I was going to attach this for you:

I coincidentally - accidentally - ran across this post of many men in kilts.
last one: Joseph Sayers
ReplyDeleteNever mind the kilts!
ReplyDeleteI can never get my eyes off
