I am so relieved that yesterday's inauguration was not interrupted by violence. The ceremony was both emotional and relieving at the same time. Several times I got goosebumps and close to tears.
Many thanks to my followers from around the world who offered congratulations. I think we all can breathe a little easier now.

Rick, is it safe to say that the main reason there was no violence reported at the inauguration or state capitals is because his (who shall remain nameless) marauding goon squad finally had an ounce of brainpower and realized that live-streaming an insurrection and posting it on the internet, where law enforcement can arrest you and even your friends and family can view and turn you in, maybe isn't such a bright idea. Justice is being served in may ways. But realistically, there will be pockets if this resistance to the truth, and more damage will be done and possibly lives lost. still a very shaky situation.

If ever there was a time when a global attitude was needed, especially to tackle this dreadful virus on a worldwide scale it is now....only by working together across the globe will something resembling 'normality' be able to be restored.

Hi Rick, Andy from Australia here....we all share the overwhelming relief that the evil fat orange cretin has gone (well, from centre stage at least). We’ve been with you all the way for the past 4+ years and felt your pain, anger and frustration even though we’re half a world away.
I have seen the wonderful image of President Biden and his wife hugging outside the White House door, it says so much . I used that photo to send a meme to friends with the words...
“This is how normal, civilised people behave, I bet the only time T-rump ever hugged anything it’s would have either been a large mirror, or someone who later discovered their wallet was missing and they had a big orange stain on their clothing”.

Yesterday was a very emotional day for me, but definitely in a good way. I'm pretty sure I went through about a half box of Kleenex.
Curious to know how the right-wing media was reacting, I recorded the blond woman's hate show on FOX. I didn't expect her to be cheering, but I also didn't expect such intensely brutal vitriol. I foolishly though she'd at least wait a day before getting so ugly. Unity is obviously not a word in the FOX commentators' vocabulary or interest.

Rick, I had the same thoughts. I didn't take an easy breath until Biden took his hand off the bible and they all went inside. What a relief not to have to think about the President every waking hour!
