Sally-the amazing fact about Sally is she was able to get out from under that "Flying Nun's" winged hat and Gidget persona and become a true powerhouse in movies. Many other childhood stars vanished from sight and were never heard from again. Alcoholism and suicide were often the choice of escape for many of these kids. I'm so thankful for Sally's success.
She had luck on her side in picking the right roles to forge ahead.
