I think it was Silly Puddy that was the soot cleaner for wallpapers, not Play Dough.
That storage was quite the marvel at the time.
Ah, the things could do if only we had the sense to focus on doing good.
Play-Doh was originally a wallpaper cleaner, Silly Putty was invented in WWII by an engineer trying to create a rubber substitute for the war effort. I did not know about the origins of both products, had to research, but enjoyed many hours as a kid transferring the Sunday color comics onto the surface of the flattened Silly Putty.
