# 5- Uncle Percy’s pink palace in Palm Springs, don’t ya love it ! :)
ReplyDeleteAunt Ida did not approve !
The interior decor of male nudes everywhere - paintings, drawings, mosaics and sculptures offended her greatly. Why there were even depictions of homosexual sex acts !
Not mention to Uncle Percy’s choice of eclectic, eccentric friends, and athletic young companions. They sent Aunt Ida into a tizzy, what with the jazz music and pot smoking of Uncle Percy’s friends, and the young athletes sunbathing and swimming nude in the pool ! And the scandal of cross dressing parties that were the talk of the town !
Aunt Ida felt Uncle Percy should have been more discreet like Uncle Artemis, who had professional gentlemen of sophistication for friends and well behaved collegians for companions. Uncle Artemis always hosted gay salons of fine food and good conversation of the arts and politics at his beautiful home.
Aunt Ida always assumed she would inherit Uncle Percy’s pink palace and redecorate the whole house to suit her tastes.
Well, Uncle Percy got his revenge !
When poor Uncle Percy passed away he left the pink palace to Aunt Ida in his will, with the stipulation that the house be left AS IS and his eclectic, eccentric friends and young athletic companions visit the pink palace and party there anytime they wanted :)
You see Uncle Percy always knew Aunt Ida was a greedy, self righteous and self serving bitch !
So he fixed her wagon :) -Rj
