DeleteSo much for polite political discourse. The only positive thing I can say about the current president is that he has made the use of the word FUCK part of the vernacular of our country. ReplyDeleteThe whole orientation of "going high when they go low" is supposed to illustrate how rational and "normal" we tend to be. Showcasing the "gutter fights:" for what they are and WHO tends to make them. BUT that strategy is based upon OTHERS seeing this too! But our society has apparently devolved into desiring to see "gladiator fights" rather than reasoned individuals doing battle. Hard to cheer for something that is unspectacular.
DeleteALL of the "bombshell words" about his actions and orientations have done nothing to get peoples' attentioin, it seems. No matter how bad his actions/orientations might be! "Reasonable people" of 15 years ago would have been up in arms about his actions/orientations long ago, it seems. When they tried to be up in arms of late, they get shoved aside by the latest new revelations or "You don't matter, you're not a Republican" words.
During the Obama years, Rs "blocked" legislation from "the other side", touting to their voters that they were "working" when they probably were not. Yet they claimed they were "fighting the good fight" to justify their re-election. All they were doing is wasting the taxpayers' money in the process. NO good legislation for the benefit of ALL, was the result. No progress, just stagnation. Yet they felt this was "progress", seemingly. And it's been worse for the past decades. AND DOGE did nothing about that!
