I was stationed on Diego Garcia in the Chagos Archipelago. DG is a horseshoe shaped coral atoll and the inner lagoon is fairly shallow. We were warned about cone snails and how deadly they were; we were told to always were shoes in the water. The shells are beautiful and easily found on the shore. After seeing these videos, I have to wonder what ate the snails?
