The religious always go on about heaven because they don’t want people to know that once you’re dead, that’s it ! You don’t go to heaven, you rot in your grave.
Otherwise people would be more mindful of how disingenuous and wicked religion actually is.

The wealth of the Vatican and the scandals, both financial and sexual, that have always swirled around the Vatican made me one of many fallen away Catholics. I did the whole Catholic bit and was even an altar boy. Went Catholic high school and was a football jock they would venerate more than any Saint.
ReplyDeleteTalk about being put on a mile high pedestal. The corruption in Catholic high school sports would blow your mind.
Not to mention the hazing scandals that are covered up at great length, and the parties alumni host and furnish with booze and drugs.
One has a Catholic faith and yet at the same time no faith at all in the church’s leadership at all levels.
Too much corruption and greed that was manifest when Pope Francis came along and called the cardinals out on their high living lifestyles. Many of them live in palatial homes and actual palaces.
And when in Rome dine at the finest restaurants and stay at the finest five star hotels. Mind you some of these cardinals are from some of the poorest of countries. In contrast Francis lived humbly as he had when he was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires.
When Pope Francis called them out, the miserable looks on their faces and the very obvious contempt they had for him was all you needed to see. Talk about visages of avarice. Not to mention some of the cardinals, bishops and priest in the USA who called Pope Francis an antipope and an Antichrist.
Talk about Satan incarnate.
