1961 Holiday House Camper
When I first saw the images above and below, I thought this camper had a boat-like nose. But it's just perspective, as the last image shows.
It looks like the first 2 pics may have been taken with a fish-eye lens which tends to bend and distort an image for a more panoramic view. What a sweet way to travel.
For some odd reason, I recall my parents discussing getting something like that. Why, I don't know, they made 2 trips in my youth - Chicago, and St. Louis.
Mid-Century dream trailer, when bean counters took a backseat to designers. You could picture this trailer hooked up to a 1961 Cadillac with its finned and skegged rear fenders or a 1961 two-tone Imperial with its stainless steel roof inserts. :) -Rj
This is an awesome trailer. Luv it!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I need one of these for the site up at the Woods Campground!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt would be perfect for up there! Do it, Mads!!!
DeleteFantastic design. Makes me think of a stylized hornet. Nowadays' designer must wish they had the liberty their predecessors had.
