"Wagonize it"? Certainly! Why should the sexy 2dr hardtops have all of the fun! The more people, the more fun.
Unlike some of the GM cars, many Chrysler products of the time would look great in the sexy hardtops and such, but "not so good" if they were the base model without the nicer two-tone color combinations. "Sport Tone", two-tones.
My parents had best friends, a cattle rancher and wife, who owned the 4-door hardtop in red, white and black. What this 13 year old car-obsessed kid found interesting was the rectangular-shaped steering wheel with rounded corners. When his wife Margaret turned a corner, it was a show to see. Thanks for the memories.
Push buttons, anodized aluminum and chrome galore ! :) The oblong steering wheel was a Chrysler Corporation hallmark and all their divisions always had the best space-age dashboards that lit up like jukeboxes. Corporate accountants and investors would have budget fits and shit attacks if cars like this were built today. -Rj

ReplyDeleteMilleson - You are very welcome.
DeleteWell, if the wagon was painted in those cool two-tone colors...then why not? Good incentive to buy one.
