Today the «Closet Professor» has posted a very interesting text about to defunding of a help line for LGBTQ youngsters.

Your country is going backward and more than ever, money is guiding those thugs to cut such a crucial help line for the most vunerable young Americans.
In your so called «Christian» values society, I'm sure that Jesus would get angry to those in charge in Washington.
Did you saw that after this anouncement, Canada did open a FREE direct line to help those young LGBTQ to have their voices heard?

Canada isn't guided by any religious faiths but we care for our citizens in so many ways.
Another reason among many others for us to NOT become the 51st state of USA.
We care for a child from his before birth and after too with policies to help parents and children to have a nice and secure life.

ReplyDeleteIn Canada back in around 1962 our then Prime Minister Pierre Eliott Trudeau said that the governement has NO right to go inside people's bedrooms.
DeleteIn USA where the GOP and MAGA are against any intervention of the government in private lives should make it so with gay rights.

Never rest on your laurels, you must be vigilant as freedom requires.
Back when AIDS was a crisis Act Up spoke out ! Despite being derided as extremist and to be ignored in “polite” society by a government that let people die needlessly. Think of the victims, from men with AIDS denied life saving research and treatments to haemophiliacs dying because the government refused to check the safety of blood supplies. And all because of concerns over costs and so called public morality, innocent people were allowed to die. The shadow and misery of the Dark Ages repeated as is happening now. Time to fight back into the light.
