Audacious automobile design at General Motors when the designers had no restraints. I'm not really a fan of blue exterior paint colors, but this on packs a wallop. At that time, my brother-in-law sold cars at OK Chevrolet in my hometown and his demo car was the 4-door Impala hardtop in red and white. This 12 year old kid was in auto heaven when he got to ride around town in it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

ReplyDeleteWhen the designers and engineers ruled the roost at GM instead of the penny pinching accountants. The flat roofed thin pillared vista top with its wraparound windshield and wraparound rear window was a GM trademark. And GM offered many body styles, short deck sedans, long deck sedans, 4 window sedans, 6 window sedans, business coupes, hardtops, convertibles, pillared and hardtop station wagons and the El Camino.
