I gotta admit I miss the sitcoms from this period and George and Cheers was a favorite. They featured people my age and a little younger and I could identify with the subject matter. I don't have a clue about what's being offered on network and cable now, but what I see is we have are something called influencers on social media and I'm old and I could GAF about any of that. Where's Mary Richards and Rhoda, where's Bob Hartley and Carole, where's Dorothy and Blanche and Sophia and Rose, where's the M*A*S*H crew, Archie and Edith and all the gang? In syndication and DVD. I'll settle for that, still funnier than most of what they're putting out there now. And let's not forget Carol, Vicki, Harvey, Tim and Lyle. George my man, you now join the best of the best in the pantheon of unparalleled humor.
