Back in the 1950’s my dad and his six brothers would attend the GM Motorama shows in San Francisco. Dream cars like the Pontiac Club de Mer would be on display, some actually ran and others were autos strictly for show with no engines. The Thunderbird was doomed when they became bloated cars with long overhanged fenders, thick pillars and fugly beak type front ends in the early 1970’s. All thanks to the day when designers and engineers had to cow tow to the bean counters. At the big 3 good looks and quality went out the door, and it’s worse today as autos are way overpriced with issue after issue. -Rj
That T-Brid wasn't far off the mark. They SO ruined them.
