Well, I hate to say this, but I ran outta steam. Shouldn't-a done so much. But the "sick" bedding needed to be washed. Jerry helped me with that while he also made chicken matzoh-ball soup. It was delicious. I also had homework to do for a new online therapy group I've started. I'll post as much as I can on Monday morning before group, and then more afterward.

Take it easy, Jerry and Rick..! Wish I was there to help..!
ReplyDeleteI fully understand, I am recuperating from lung surgery removing a nodule in my right lung which I was operated 11 days ago, all is going well today with less discomfort and less worries they were able to remove all the growth. I will start radiation therapy next week to encapsulate and reduce a nodule on my vertebrae and the oncologist says all will be clear. A speedy recovery for us all. Joe
ReplyDeleteJoe - I'm sorry you have to go through all of that. Take care.
DeleteAnd "No." is a perfectly reasonable response.
ReplyDeleteI've started saying "No." a lot. This body just doesn't have the will to move any more.
Jerry, knock that guy of yours upside his head and tell him to slow the f*&k down. I've always been impressed by the amount of work you accomplish on a daily basis. I'd be just as impressed if you decided to stop for a month and pamper yourself. Please be careful and don't let your obvious pleasure in doing this blog for us to become so obsessive that it takes precedence over your health and wellbeing. As Joe and Rade and Anonymous commented, we of a certain age don't bounce back from the viruses and surgeries that we encounter as fast as we did in the past. Our little T-cells get older also and there are fewer of them to help us fight our battles. I haven't had this bug that's making the rounds but if I get a common head cold, what took 3-4 days to get over now takes 3 weeks minimum. Just the facts of life, brothers, and we need to take care of ourselves to more of an extent.
ReplyDeleteSo Ricky my internet friend, kick back, eat lots of Jerry's soups and take all the time you need to get past this interruption in your life. That's Dr. Milleson's orders. As the guy on an old TV commercial used to say, "I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV(Vicks Formula 44 cough syrup, 1984)
Milleson - Thanks. Do you take Medicare?
DeleteMilleson! What about OUR NEEDS? What about ME?
DeleteLeftField, I'm sorry, office hours are finished for today, please call tomorrow and make an appointment. I think I can get you in sometime in October 2026. Sound familiar?
DeleteLeftField - Harhar.
DeleteToo much, too soon.... Happens with all of us, Rick. Get some much needed rest --- we'll be here.
ReplyDeleteTake YOUR Time getting back into it!! (Or It will take MORE Time From You!) Be well you two!! Best from Mexico.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the guy's Rick. Too much too soon, we all have been guilty of that one time or another. You know we love your blog, but hey take some time off. Wishing everyone good health.
Your friend,
Scott
